This past June President Obama effectively granted backdoor amnesty to illegal immigrants under the age of 30, by putting a stay on deportations. As awful as the President’s decision was, here in California the Democrat controlled State Legislature is poised to make an equally appalling decision.
Through AB 2189, California will start issuing driver’s licenses to illegal aliens. This flies in the face of those who respect the rule of law and are utilizing the proper legal channels to gain entrance into the United States. The bill passed through the California State Senate late yesterday and is on its way to the Assembly, where we will vote on it anytime before midnight Friday.
Under this provision, the DMV would give driver’s licenses to the Illegal Aliens who were granted back-door amnesty by President Obama. Subverting the rule of law, this move sends a harsh message of hypocrisy to the people who have gone through the honorable process of coming to the United States legally. It is crucial that we stop this bill!
Call the Assembly Members TODAY and urge them to uphold the rule of law and vote NO on AB 2189.
