Committees

Each committee meets during the 2nd half of our General Session meeting.

Legislative Awareness

The Awareness Committee seeks to create a noticeable and consistent presence at local government meetings. We intend to let our elected officials know that we’re paying attention to what they’re doing. So many decisions are made without the knowledge of those they serve. We want to change this dynamic.

We are looking for NorCal Tea Party volunteers to attend, on a regular basis, local government meetings. This includes city councils, school boards, utility boards, boards of supervisors, political committees, and the like.

Truth in Media

The Media Committee refutes the lies of the media, pundits, and others who report false information. We regularly provide the facts surrounding the issues being discussed (thoroughly vetted through reliable sources) for our members.

The Media Committee is responsible for publicizing Nor Cal Tea Party events to all Northern California. It is also currently devising a plan to deliver our conservative message through building personal relationships with various groups in our communities.

Science & Politics

The Science & Politics committee is made up of talented, experienced scientists and engineers who are attempting to bring actual facts and proven theories to the discussions of environmental events and government interventions.

We will continue to post written material in newspapers, newsletters and Internet blogs. Our goals will be achieved by conducting educational and informative presentations with slide shows and lectures.

We intend to use serious, aggressive arguments to support our views when confronting the political dogma of the media, the deceptions of the political left and false science issues in legislation, politics and elections.

Education

The Education Committee works to educate people about the United States Constitution and our great nation’s history.

Our latest effort is our Adopt a School program for which we are actively seeking volunteers.
